Children’s theatre show, ‘Room on the Broom’, is set to grace The Lowry stage for the festive period.

The Olivier Award-nominated play from Tall Stories comes to the Salford theatre after a successful stint in London’s West End.

Adapted from Julia Donaldson and Axel Schleffer’s picture book, ‘Room on the Broom’ follows a witch, her cat and their animal friends as their broomstick breaks, just as a hungry dragon appears.

Directed by Olivia Jacobs, the play features puppetry, sing-a-long songs and fun, making a fantastic introduction for theatre for children ages three and upwards.

Theatre company Tall Stories is known for its family-friendly performances, with the company’s productions of ‘The Gruffalo’ and ‘The Snail and the Whale’ touring worldwide.

The cast includes Jessica Manu (‘Where the Bugaboo Lives’) as Witch; Hannah Miller (‘The Snail and the Whale’, West End/ Sydney Opera House/ UK Tour) as Cat; and Peter Steele (‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’), amongst many more.

Room on the broom comes to the Lowry from 7th December 2022 – 8th January 2023.
