A Salford University graduate, ‘Sorzano’, has provided an exclusive look at his budding music career and his latest project.

Ricardo Sorzano studied International Business at the University of Salford and graduated in 2018.

Since then, the rising star has an impressive portfolio of achievements, from performances all over the UK, features on BBC Radio 1 Xtra and his latest samurai-inspired song was made especially for the trailer for Kwalee’s new game ‘Die by the Blade’.

Originally from Luton, Sorzano has been working for the past two years on his latest creative project, ‘The Great Escape’ which is set to be 12 tracks. The tracks will be split into three acts with accompanying music videos, with each representing an act in the LP.

The project taps into themes of escapism, romanticism, and wanderlust.

Mr Sorzano said: “Art is a way for people to disconnect and reconnect with themselves. I want them to be absorbed into a world deeper than the surface level and at the end of the experience, I want people to feel like they escaped.

“It’s like a form of ecstasy.”

Sorzano balances running his own marketing and talent agency VZA with his passion for his budding music career. Sorzano works from a range of studios, including producer, ‘LROWE’s’ home studio in Bury, to rehearsal spaces at Pirate Studios in Salford and location scouting all across the UK.

He said: “Everything is a proving game; I have to prove my value in every room I step in. I’m at the start in my career and I have to prove that I can stay up there with some of the best creatives in the world.

“The Great Escape is an art piece – a statement of who I am.”

Sorzano plans to start his rollout in 2023, with updates on his socials for teasers, trailers and more.
