A total of four people have been arrested in connection with a stabbing which left a 62-year-old man with serious injuries in Salford.

The arrests come after (Greater Manchester Police) GMP officers responded to reports of a stabbing at an Aldi car park on Heywood Way on Tuesday (10 January).

The 62-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital receiving medical treatment.

This morning, Salford Detectives arrested a fourth person in connection with the incident.

All four people; a 42-year woman, a 20-year man and two 17-year-old males have all been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and the attempted murder of the victim and remain in custody for further questioning.

GMP are continuing to urge the public to come forward if they believe they may have any information about this incident.
