A series of permanent traffic lights are set to be installed on Fredrick Road/ Broad Street in Salford.

The news of the installation was announced this morning (Monday 19 June) by Salford City Council on Facebook.

The permanent traffic signals are set to cover Frederick Road and Broad Street and will be installed this Thursday (22 June). These will be monitored to “reach maximum efficiency”.


Commuters can expect off-peak traffic management during the removal of the current temporary lights.

There have been permanent traffic lights at Broad St and Fredrick Rd. for over 40 years ,what’s new ?
