Cannabis plants and equipment worth £400,000 have been seized from a property in Walkden.

The contraband was found after a warrant was executed by police on Friday (July 14) at a property on Mesne Lea Road.

A search of the property found 240 cannabis plants and thousands of pounds of equipment consistent with a drugs operation.

No-one was present at the scene and no arrests have been made, so far.

Inspector Steve Corless, of Salford Northwest Neighbourhood Team, said: “We are committed to protecting the public from these harmful substances and stop drugs operations from running in our communities.

“Our team are continually acting upon intelligence that we source, and that the public provide to us. With this information are we able to execute warrants and provide community reassurance, our officers are working flat out to keep the community safe.”
