Walkden residents have shared their fury after excessive amounts of dog waste has been found across Parr Fold Park.

The anger comes after Friends of Parr Fold Park shared a Facebook post urging people to pick up their dogs’ waste, after excessive amounts were found by volunteer gardeners.

The club claimed that four separate piles along one of the grass banks in the Garden of Remembrance were found.

Walkers were reminded that dog waste bags can be found in The Pavilion.

The post read: “We know the majority of dog owners that use the park are responsible. Big thank you to you, for helping keep our park clean.”

One commenter, Leanne Hackett wrote: “I feel like I am constantly dodging dog poo on the grassed areas, especially the field near the play area. Children including my son play on that field, it’s really frustrating. Pick up after your dogs!”
