Salford Quays is set to become home to one of the largest foodhalls in the North complete with 400-seat capacity and more than 20 kitchens.

The Quays waterfront food destination, Central Bay, will be the first of its kind in Salford when it opens next month, complete with four independent restaurants, Seven Brothers microbrewery, 2,000 square foot of outdoor terrace, and five waterside shipping container kitchens.

Kargo MKT will also have a ‘Kids Eat Free’ deal throughout every school holiday plus can £6 lunch deals form Monday-Friday, £5 bottomless batch brew coffee and tea, happy hour deals, bottomless brunch, and 20% student discount.

Some of the kitchens set to be featured at Central Bay include Worsley-based Leopard Pie pizza, Northern Quarter Italian Ad Maiora, Korean street food Bab K, Baity Palestinian Kitchen, Boba Cha, and Chuan Chuan Asian skewers.

Operator Kargo MKT also plans to host events, live music and dance performances which celebrate the cultures represented in the market’s food offering.

Work is progressing on the development on the Quayside centre’s south-facing waterfront. It is scheduled to open in September.
