Dragons Den has announced that Salford City owner Gary Neville will make a guest appearance on the BBC One show.

Deborah Meaden announced on twitter there will be: “A first next year in Dragons Den when we have some guest Dragons…first up Gary Neville who was utterly brilliant and owned that chair.”

He will be sat along side Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies and Steven Bartlett in what will be there 21st season.

Gary Neville tweeted in response: “Thank you Deborah. I loved it and can’t thank you and all the dragons enough for welcoming me.”

This season will be aired in 2024 where fashion designer and businesswoman Emma Grede will also be a guest dragon.

In 2014 it was announced that Neville, his brother Phil, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Ryan Giggs would take over the club from local businessman Harold Brearly.

When the Class of 92′ and Peter Lim took over Salford were competing in Northern Premier League Division 1 North where they have been since 2009.

Since then the club has shot up the leagues becoming professional and reached the football league when they got promoted to League Two in the 2019/20 season.

Outside of football Gary Neville has had a successful media career appearing on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football and has opened hotels and cafés.
