There are resurfacing works on Manchester Road West near the junction with Lester Road in Little Hulton this week from today (Thursday 16) to Sunday.
There are temporary traffic lights put in place for today and tomorrow (16-17) on Manchester Road West. Drivers should “expect delays” during this time.
On Saturday November 18 between 8.30am to 5.30pm and Sunday November 19 between 9.30am to 5.30pm there will be carriageway resurfacing at the junction on Green Avenue.
There will be a lane closure here on Manchester Road West during this time.

A diversion for traffic heading from Bolton towards Salford starts at Watergate Lane and re-joins Manchester Road West on the other side of the closure at the junction with Cleggs Lane:
- Watergate Lane to Plodder Lane to Albert Road to Buckley Lane to Cleggs Lane
Another diversion for traffic heading from Salford towards Bolton starts at Bolton Road and re-joins Manchester Road West on the other side of the closure at the Watergate Lane roundabout:
- Bolton Road to Worsley Road to Albert Road to Glynne Street to Plodder Lane to Watergate Lane
Pedestrian access to the road will not be affected.
Salford Council has warned drivers to “plan journeys accordingly.”
