Booking isn’t required, but entry will be done on a first come first served basis.

An adult must accompany any attending children while at the event.

The event is also accessible to wheelchair users, for those who need mobility support.

There is no cost to visit the grotto. However, there is the opportunity to donate to the Square’s chosen charity Kidscan. The charity is focused on children’s cancer research.

Rachel Perera, the head of fundraising said: “KidsCan extend their heartfelt appreciation to Swinton Square for their generous selection of KidsCan as the recipient of donations from the centre’s enchanting Santa’s Grotto.”

This isn’t the first time that the Square has offered its space up to the grotto. However this time the holiday spirit will be supporting families affected by children’s cancer.

The donations for this event “will play a pivotal role in advancing ground-breaking research on rare childhood cancers.”

Perera added that the donations “will contribute to the establishment of a comprehensive national support and resource platform, fostering a supportive community for individuals coping with the long-term effects of cancer treatments, as well as offering valuable support to parents and educators.”
