Several cricket clubs across Salford have learned their schedule as the Greater Manchester Cricket League reveal the fixtures for the 2024 season.

Cricket clubs in Salford will begin the 2024 season on Saturday, April 20 before playing a total of 22 games, with the final game of the season scheduled for Saturday, September 14.

A number of clubs in Salford will take part across the numerous divisions in the GMCL.

The clubs include Worsley CC, Roe Green CC, Monton CC, Little Hulton CC, Irlam CC, Winton CC, Clifton CC and Swinton Moorside CC.

Roe Green Cricket Club of Worsley are currently the reigning champions of the Premier League, after an impressive season that saw them lift the trophy for the first time since 1992.

They will play alongside Clifton Cricket Club in the highest division. The two sides will meet each other for the first time in the second round of games on Saturday, April 27.

Monton head into the season ready to take on the GMCL Premier League 2. Whilst Swinton Moorside Cricket Club prepare for their season in Division One, alongside Winton Cricket Club.

Worsley Cricket Club come into the season after winning two pieces of silverware last season, the Division Three title as well as the John Barrow Trophy. They are set to play in division two following their promotion.

Little Hulton’s side will be taking on the Division Five South and Central, where they will meet the second teams of Worsely, Winton and Clifton.
