Megan Whittaker is hosting her third charity psychic night on December 15 to give back to St Ann’s Hospice for the care her grandparents received.

The psychic night held in November last year raised over £1,200 for the hospice and Megan is hoping to raise more this Christmas.

The event will be held at Walkden Legion (Wilfred Rd, Walkden M38 3AJ) and will start at 7.30pm.

St Ann’s Hospice is incredibly important to Megan as her Nana and Grandma were “well looked after” by them.

Megan said: “It meant a lot to me what the hospice did which is why I am doing this.”

The event will have a range of activities on throughout the night such as a demonstration of mediumship, from established mediums, Megan and Jeni Marie.

There will also be a raffle and a range of stalls that offer readings, handmade gifts and crystal jewellery.

Megan described last years psychic night. “It was really lovely, everyone was just having fun.” It ended in a rendition of everyone singing happy birthday to one of the guests.

The event has had a lot of contribution from volunteers in the Walkden area, including Balloons decorating the event for free.

The Walkden Legion are also giving their venue to Megan for free for the night.

The social club holds a special place in Megan’s heart after her grandparents Bob and Gertrude Bolesworth were well known, with Bob being a performer there in his younger years.

Megan said: “We have loads of volunteers for the night and the amount of stuff that people have done for us is insane”.

St Anne’s hospice cares for over 3000 people per year and Megan is encouraging people to donate through coming to the event or through her just giving page.

The event is a place people can come to, to celebrate, with Megan saying: “we are all there because we miss someone”.

Tickets for the event cost £15 and can be purchased from Hug in a Mug, Walkden Legion or from Megan if you contact – 07775 427739.
