Cailey Miller - I'm excited to see what we can do..." | Cailey Miller joins the Women's team

Salford Red Devils have announced that Cailey Miller is the newest addition to the women’s team, joining on a permanent basis.

The winger, who featured on a dual-reg agreement from Wigan Warriors last season, where she made a few appearances, and is set to make her second debut on Sunday against Featherstone Rovers.

Cailey Miller began her rugby career in Union; where she played for Leigh RU and represented Lancashire at U15s, 18s and open age level, gaining her first cap at just 17 years old.

However, she decided to switch to rugby league, and was able to get a move to Wigan Warriors – where she was able to gain experience in the Betfred Women’s Super League.

Following her dual registration spell at the Red Devils, she signed for Swinton Lions at the beginning of the 2025 season and scored eight tries across five games.

However, she has been reunited with the team, she said: “I’m really excited and grateful to be back at Salford. It’s been great to reconnect with the girls and get stuck into some intense training sessions.

“I’m ready to give it my all and help contribute to the team’s continued success.”

Miller will hope to be a great addition to the team and be an important part of the Red Devils successes in 2025.

“With blistering pace and an intelligent rugby brain,” Miller will hope to continue to lift the Red Devils form.

And with previous experience at the club, it seems that the move should see a quick and seamless transition back into the squad.

Miller said: “I’m really excited. Like you say, I’ve been here before, I know the girls and it’s a great environment!

“Coming back into things it feels a little bit less daunting. I enjoyed last season because it gave me a chance to stretch my legs and get ball in hand – which is what every rugby player wants really!”

Cailey will rejoin the squad as they travel to Featherstone Rovers this Sunday, as they look to continue their 100% record in the league.

She continued: “We want those points; we want to be climbing that leaderboard. I think we know Featherstone are going to be a strong, physical side with their experience in Super League last season.

“Judging from what I’ve seen from the Salford girls so far, I’ve been following their performance closely with friends like Ellie (Costello) in the team, I’m excited to see what we can do – it will be a good test.”

Following her reintroduction into the squad, Head Coach, Mike Grady added: “I’m really pleased to have Cailey on board.

“She is a very clever rugby league player and has plenty of pace. She has fitted in really well into the group and we are looking forward to working with her.”
