A sell out solo-storyteller will revisit her childhood memories and home in the north will be hosted at the Lowry.

A solo storyteller will revisit her childhood memories and stories of her home in the north at the Lowry.

The show ‘Local’ will take place on Friday 6 June, and will see Liz Richardson revisit memories to understand whether she still belongs in the North or ever did.

The show will begin at 8pm, and will last 75 minutes, taking audiences on a journey through the rural landscapes and environment of her home.

Throughout the duration of the show, visitors of the show will be see Liz reconnect with voice from the past and her young family now.

Audiences who attend the show at the Lowry will also see Liz confront her stark fear of loss and the feeling of being lost without belonging.

The show ‘Local’ will intend to have audiences searching their own emotions, with the feelings of belonging encouraging guests to laugh and cry simultaneously.

For audiences it will feel l familiar but unsettling with the visuals and sound help encompass Liz’s world in the early 90s.

Previous shows SWIM and Gutted being regional sellouts, Liz reveals her latest production ‘Local’ is on a small premiering tour. This universal-themed show is human to its very core.

Final venues for this short opening tour will take place at the Lowry theatre on Friday 6 June.

And then it will travel to the Lighthouse Arts Centre in Poole on Thursday 12 June, before finishing at Dukes in Lancaster on Friday 13 June.
