Salford Pride stage

Tickets are on sale for Pink Picnic as Salford Pride’s annual LGBTQ+ celebration returns for its 15th year.

The vibrant, family-friendly event will take place at Peel Park on Saturday 13 June 2026, with revellers able to take advantage of relaxed alcohol restrictions this time around.

After imposing a contentious alcohol ban last year, charity organisers Salford Pride will allow adults to bring in up to four cans of drink on their first entry to the festival.

Pink Picnic was attended by more than 6,500 people in June, and next year’s turnout is projected to rise above 8,000.

The celebration aims to bring the community together for a day of live music, performances, expo stalls, market vendors, food and drink and “a whole lot of love.”

Marcus Taylor, Chair of Salford Pride, said: “We are so proud to be celebrating our fifteenth anniversary in 2026 and we’ll be throwing our biggest event to date to celebrate!

“The Pink Picnic is a community event that is organised and delivered entirely by a group of dedicated Salford Pride volunteers and without them, there’d be no event, so I just want to extend a massive thank you to every single person who has volunteered with us over the past 15 years.”

Confirmation that Salford Pride’s Pink Picnic will take place next year comes a week after organisers voiced their support following the liquidation of Manchester Pride.

The return of Greater Manchester’s largest volunteer-led pride event reflects their commitment to celebrate and uplift LGBTQ+ people in Salford and across the region for years to come.

Early-bird tickets are availible to purchase here, with prices starting at £5. Every single penny that is generated from ticket sales goes directly into putting on The Pink Picnic.
