With Salford gearing up for the festive season, here is a rundown of some of the events taking place across the city to get you in the Christmas spirit.
With a host of markets and events being organised across Boothstown, Eccles, Swinton, Irlam and beyond, there is something nearby for every Christmas-lover this winter season.
Christmas has already begun at Salford Quays, where the makers market runs in conjunction with the popular Lightwaves winter illuminations.
A range of independent makers, artisan food stalls and festive entertainers will set up next to The Lowry Theatre, where performances of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe will run almost every night throughout December.
The Salford Museum is organising multiple Christmas events, including Story Times, Festive Lunches and Workshops.
In Swinton Square, Santa Saturdays are returning on November 29 and December 6, 13 and 20 from 10am to 3pm.
At the Roe Green Cricket Club, there will be a Christmas Market on December 6, from 12pm to 8pm.
Lady James’ Hall in Irlam is also hosting its own Christmas fair on November 30, but make sure to be there between 11am and 3pm to catch it.
At the Monton Unitarian Church you can catch Louby Lou and Santa on December 23 at 12–1:30pm.
The Royal British Legion Club in Boothstown is holding its yearly Makants Greyhound Rescue Christmas Fair on November 30, from 11am until 2.30pm.
With plenty of events taking place across the City this festive season, it’s set to be another blockbuster Christmas in Salford this year.
