Weaste and Seedley Social Club are set to celebrate valentines day in style by hosting a stand-up comedy show.

Comedians Lewy Morrison, Adam Anwar, Dave Robinson and Tony Burgess will take to the stage as part of their tour across venues in Northern England, which runs until April this year.

This group says they are aiming to showcase the best of UK comedy in each place they visit and have encouraged Salford residents to come down to the social club for a laugh.

Lewy Morrison, one of the comedians, said: “I’m very excited about the event, the line-up is brilliant, and I always enjoy doing gigs in Salford.

“I picked valentines day because my events are perfect for people going on a date or out with thier mates. I thought this date could capture both groups. It’s a cheap, local and fun date.”

Lewy was born and raised in Salford and explained he knows some of the people who work in the social club to set up the event.

He usually books a professional and experienced comedian for the headline act and this time it is Tony Burgess, a Mancunian who has been on the comedy circuit for years. This will take place on Saturday, the 14th of February.

The show starts at 8pm, but people are advised to get there by 7pm so they have time to get a drink and find a seat.

People can access tickets by going to the Weaste and Seedley Social club Facebook page, where they will find a link on the post or a QR code on the post itself. The tickets cost £12 each.
