Police are appealing for information after the death of a 72-year-old man in Salford.

Norman Broadbent passed away at his home on Longbow Court in Lower Broughton on 27 June.

Greater Manchester Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

In a social media post, the force said: “Do you know the next of kin of a man from Salford?

“Norman Broadbent, 72, sadly passed away at his home on Longbow Court, Lower Broughton, on 27/06/2026.

“There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

“Anyone with information about Norman’s next of kin should contact the Police Coroner’s Office on 0161 856 4687.”

Police often issue appeals like this to help trace the relatives of people who have died across the region before a cause of death is established.

Once officers have gathered the necessary details, the information is passed to the coroner’s office so a full cause of death can be determined.
