Three people were forced to evacuate after a fire broke out at a property in Salford.
The blaze started on the bottom floor of a home on Littleton Road on Thursday afternoon.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) crews were called to reports of the fire at around 4.15pm on Thursday.
A spokesperson for the fire service said it took them less than three hours to bring the blaze under control.
Equipped with breathing apparatus, the firefighters managed to contain the fire on the bottom floor of the house, limiting the damage.
Three people evacuated the property before firefighters arrived and were handed over to North West Ambulance Service personnel to receive treatment.
The GMFRS spokesperson said: “At around 4.15pm on Thursday, 13 August, fire crews were called to reports of a fire at a home on Littleton Road, Salford.
“Three fire engines from Eccles, Whitefield and Philip’s Park attended the incident.
“Firefighters using breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive pressure ventilator extinguished the fire, which was contained to the ground floor of the house.
“Three people had evacuated the property before firefighters arrived and were handed over to the care of North West Ambulance Service.
“Crews spent two hours and 50 minutes at the scene extinguishing the fire and making the area safe.”
