Weaste and Seedley Social Club is set to host a Macmillan Fundraising Event.
The event is due to begin at midday on October 4 and people do not need to be members of the club to join in with the fundraiser. There will be a small entry fee for people if they want to take part in the family quiz and bingo, but every penny raised will go to the amazing charity.
This annual event is something which the club looks forward to hosting, for the local community.
Ian Carberry, the club’s secretary, said: “It is a proper community afternoon with a bit of everything. We will have the coffee morning, cakes and food, bingo and a family fun quiz, with all the money raised going towards Macmillan.
“For us, the Macmillan coffee morning is not about putting on a big flashy event. It is about getting people through the door, having a brew, eating far too much cake, shouting at the bingo and having a laugh together while raising some money for a really important cause.”
Donations of cake and food are welcome for everyone to enjoy. As the club is volunteer run, anything anyone can give helps them massively.
Salford residents are invited to attend the fundraiser, whether that be for the whole afternoon or just for a brief visit.
