A Salford domestic abuse charity has launched an appeal for 100 donations in the 100 days leading up to Christmas.
The Eccles-based Survivor Project is seeking donations to support around 100 families as part of its work with the Dragonfly Movement to help people who have suffered trauma to reclaim their life.
Senior case manager, Kellie Ryan, said: “The aim this Christmas is to raise around 100 dinners to give out to families that are struggling.
“Over the past year there has been a significant increase in the number of families coming for help. At Christmas alone last year we were helping around 600 families and achieved 40 meals.”
The Survivor Project is asking Salford residents to donate a little every day whether that be paying for a coffee or taking in an item of clothing or a present.
Kellie said: “We do want clothes and presents such as perfume for the teenagers and clothes that fit 0-18 years.”
Organisers are also hoping for donations of food such as the meat and vegetables nearer the time to provide a complete dinner.
She said: “Salford is very good at coming together and offering support for one another.”
