Salford Museum and Art Gallery is celebrating its fifth Salford Open exhibition.
The Salford Open 2026 showcases the work of artists of any age, living, working, studying or born in Salford.
More than 187 artworks include painting, drawing, print, textiles, photography, sculpture and mixed media, chosen from more than 270 submissions.
Exhibitions manager Amy Brunn said the Open, which has been running since 2018, keeps growing in size, popularity and standard.
Exhibits are selected based on quality, artistic integrity and relevance to audiences, collections and venues.
Amy said: “We want the Open to be representative of what is happening in Salford today.”
Prizes will be awarded for first and runner-up and anyone can have a say in the people’s choice award if they vote for their favourite piece when they visit.
Artists also have the chance to win the following: Geoffrey Key Award, The Pinc College Student Choice and Ptaff pick.
As part of the Salford 100 year celebration, there will be a special prize for Mathew Rosier’s favourite art piece.

Amy continued: “Peopke are really creative in Salford and are producing really high quality stuff, and we want to share that.”
This free exhibition runs until November 29.
The Salford Museum is open from 9.30am-4pm, Tuesday-Friday and 11.30am-4pm on weekends.
