Police have released CCTV images after a woman was held at knifepoint in a hair salon in Droylsden.

The incident took place on March 25th in a hair salon on Market Street, Droylsden.

The 43-year old woman who was working in the salon, located on Market Street, when a male entered the shop claiming that he was being chased.

The victim then asked the man to leave before he pulled a Stanley knife from his pocket, held it to her neck and demanded that she open the shop safe.

She agreed and the man fled with cash stuffed in his trousers.

The incident took place on March 25th and now police want to speak to the man shown in the CCTV images.

Detective Constable Claire Robinson of Greater Manchester Police’s Tameside Borough said: “ A woman was left terrified after being robbed at knifepoint and it is vital that we catch the person who did it.”

“We have continued our investigation and have now released CCTV of a man we want to speak to, so if you know who it is please get in touch.”
