On the 27th of February, The University of Salford will be open to the public for back to back performances from the vocal students.

The free to enter event will commence at 7pm and will run until 9pm in the Peel Hall building on the University’s main Peel Park campus with disabled access available.

The event promises performances from the talented students, giving them a chance to broadcast their skills to a public audience, as well as a special live performance from the New Adelphi Choir.

Students will be performing songs from the Great American Songbook, and will be accompanied by a professional staff trio.

Sue Hickey, Director of the New Adelphi Choir, told us how she is delighted to present another night of back-to-back performances.

“This event complements the everyday curriculum by providing students with an invaluable opportunity to work with renowned, highly respected professional musicians and to experience a taste of working in a typical professional scenario.

“Students from foundation level to level 6 will be performing and It will be a great experience for them to get up and perform with a live band.

“Only students from the university will be singing the solo songs however i would be delighted for anyone to come and join the choir.”

Instruments will be played by Robin Dewhurst (Piano), Matt Owens (Bass) and Gareth Hughes (Drums), and a bar will be open at the event for refreshments.
