Salford rail passengers will be facing major travel disruption today if their journeys involve Manchester Piccadilly, due to a broken line.
The lines affected due to this incident are as follows:
Blackpool – Manchester Airport (both directions)
Liverpool Lime Street – Manchester Airport (both directions)
Wigan North Western – Alderley Edge (both directions)
Northern have urged passenger to check their journey ahead of time.
They have also offered an hourly replacement bus service between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport ( in both directions)
It is unknown how long this travel disruption will last with the services due to be affected until “further notice.”
