A man is in a serious but stable condition after an incident on Amos street, just off Langworthy Road.

Police were called to Amos Street in Salford around 8am this morning.

They said a man was found with significant head injuries and taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The area remains taped off and investigations are ongoing.

Police confirmed a man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

The incident comes a month after 17-year-old Josiah Norman died after allegedly being knocked over and stabbed on Peveril Road.

A post-mortem recorded the trainee electrician’s preliminary cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

Kellan Gummery and Dillon Saunders have both been charged with a single count of murder.
