The Makers’ Market is back at Quayside, Media City. It will open from Saturday 29th May – Bank Holiday.
Then, it will be returning the last week of the month at the weekends. The opening hours are 10am-5pm.
There is everything for everyone at the event, from vegan food to distillery, crafts and much more.
The traders are small businesses that work hard to produce enough stock for the days.
Not all the traders will be there the consecutive days.
Marianna Anastasiou of Anasma said:
“You will meet us at Quayside a few times a year as we have other regular markets on the last weekend
“We are a family business, everyone in the party is participating form preparation to displaying the product on the day.
“Initially, we started as a homemade cake business and later we decided to give a go to the outdoor events.
“We use only the finest, most natural ingredients available on the market, but
the main ingredient in all our cakes is Love.”
Ash Hamid of Azafia said:
“We are a family business started trading 5 years ago.
“Azafia is focused on oil scents from the Middle East.
“The scent company was inspired by the visits to the United Arab Emirates.
“All of our oils smell great and last very long as opposed to traditional designer inspired alcohol based expensive sprays
“Our mission is to make the world smell better
“We are trading to Quayside every 4th Saturday and Sunday.”
Matilda Bruchard the Consultant at the Makers Market said:
“The feedback from the Traders was more than encouraging. We had more traders than last month
“They had a great weekend. The sun was shining, and football was high
“There were numerous sell-outs.
“It was great to see visitors spending the day with us and supporting independent businesses
“The visitors felt confident coming to the event. We had one-way system in place, signs across the whole market asking people to wear a mask and keep a distance and we ask all our traders to wear a mask / visor
“We had more traders than last month, footfall was similar, we don’t count the footfall though.”
