It is more than a year the pandemic started.  During the pandemic debit and credit cards replaced cash payments in most daily transactions.

In Sweden, cash transactions accounted for just 1% of Sweden’s GDP in 2019.  The country is projected to become the first cashless nation in the world, with 100% digital by 2023.

The University of Salford has approximately 22,000 students and 3,000 staff.

Students will be able to buy food and drink on the campuses without having to go to the cash point machine where they are exposed to pickpockets.

Burglary rate will also be reduced in students’ accommodation.

The traders from the other side will no longer need to deposit cash to the banks.

The advantages and disadvantages of being cashless at the University Campuses highlighted in the following link: https://create.piktochart.com/output/54768606-uni-goes-cashless
