The manager of Pinfall, Nick, said: “We saw an increase in the need for food items and baby food since COVID-19 and when lockdown first happened, we opened a small food bank based here at the centre.

“But demand increased week upon week to the point where now we run a breakfast club and a lunch club throughout the week”.

The club has been tackling food poverty for almost eight years and are committed to keep doing so through charity events like this.

Steve West, a wrestler at the club said: “It is a struggle, people will work endlessly to put food on the table for their families and it might not be enough, so it is great when charities come along and help people out”.

Wrestler vengeance added: “Every single one of us can do more, even if it is just bringing a tin of something to the show or donating to a foodbank”.

Food Fight will take place on Halloween at two o’clock in the afternoon and promises to bring some of the UK’s biggest wrestling names face to face in the name of charity.

Although it is not necessary, the club recommends reserving a seat for the event on www.pinfallwrestling.com as spaces will be limited.
