Wrestling promoters Pin Fall and Bolton Town Wrestling are coming together to host an event in Salford this Sunday.
The event at Salford Lifestyle and Gymnastics Centre on Camp Street will feature big names in the independent UK wrestling scene, with the main event featuring Big T facing up against American Franco Varga.
The show is £10 for adults and £5 for children and is due to start at 1pm and last around two hours.
Alex Francis, who is also on the card for the event under his ring name Bentley, said: “It’s going to be an afternoon of fun and people kicking the crap out of each other.
“It’s a collaboration of two companies and a lot of people who want to get together and put on a good show.”
Francis, who also attended the University of Salford, calls himself the ‘vigilante of professional wrestling’.
“I’m going up against Mad Kurt who has quite a big following in the UK.
“His persona is a keyboard warrior, so it will be an interesting matchup as the vigilante vs the keyboard warrior.”
Fans buying a ticket can also look forward to two title matches with both Pin Fall and Bolton Town Wrestling’s champions, known as Rossy Rascal and Rarebit respectively, putting their belts on the line.
Pin Fall Wrestling is also a Salford-based promotion, regularly hosting events in the city. Founded in 2015, they also have a wrestling school ‘Pinfall Academy’ which they describe as an opportunity to learn how to wrestle from the best in the business.
Tickets for the event can be bought at Biggest Date Everrr – One Off Wrestling Spectacular, Salford Tickets, Sun 13 Feb 2022 at 13:00 | Eventbrite.
