Stand up comedian Gary Delaney has confirmed that he will entertain The Lowry theatre in Salford Quays on the 26th of February 2022, as one leg of his nationwide ‘Gary in Punderland’ tour.
Most known for being a regular on Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week, Gary Delaney is revered in the comic world for being one of the best joke writers in the country, he is the only comic ever to have got two gags in the same top 10 for Dave’s ‘TV Funniest Jokes’ from the Edinburgh Fringe.
The Solihull-born former-economics student is infamous for his blunt and risqué humour and has previously been in trouble for his more controversial and honest gags. Easily offended potential audience members should be warmed.
As well as being a notorious comic, Delaney, who is married to fellow comic Sarah Millican, also writes for Birmingham-based FM radio station Kerrang! 105.2 and appeared in the horror-comedy film ‘Trash House’.
As a a final string to his bow, Mr Delaney is a published author with his 2020 book, ‘Pundamentalist: 1000 jokes you’ve probably never heard before’.
After completing 160 venues in his last tour, the ‘Gary in Punderland’ tour will begin this week in Stevenage before he comes to Salford on Saturday the 26th. It will be his first visit to Salford since April 2019 when he performed ‘Gary Delaney: Gagster’s Paradise” at the Lowry. That show received four stars out of five on ‘The Review’s Hub’.
