Free tickets are being handed out to schoolchildren in Salford as Salford Red Devils take on Leeds Rhinos.

The rugby league event on Friday 18th March, which is being labelled as ‘Building for Future’, will be give the attendees the chance to get a taste of top-level rugby league.

The project was founded in March 2021, and it has engaged over 80 local schools through rugby league.

Salford Red Devils Director, Paul Trainor said via the Red Devils official site: “The response we have had in our first year has been amazing and we’re excited to welcome new Official School Partners on board as our second year gets underway.”

Neil Blackburn, Salford Red Devils Foundation Director said: “We take pride in providing students the highest quality delivery from our highly qualified team members.

“Having a strong presence in the local community and schools ensures that we can continue to serve our community well as we have done for over 15 years.”

The ‘Building the Future’ campaign is a five-year plan which is run jointly by Salford Red Devils and Salford Red Devils Foundation.

The clubs is offering free tickets to schools across the North West to bring staff and students on school arranged visits to the game, with school parties of up to 30 students invited to apply. Staff tickets will be made available to accompany school children. Additional tickets for parents and carers can be purchased at £10, and paid for on collection.
