Following Round Three of the Trophy, the shortlist for the Player of the Round competition has been revealed with Salford City’s Danny Lloyd making the final five.

A constant menace down the left wing as Salford beat Port Vale 3-0, Lloyd beat his man on the outside on numerous occasions and was involved in two of his side’s goals, winning the corner for the opener and setting Jake Jervis free with a fine pass for the third.

Salford City face Accrington Stanley in the Quarter Finals as they look to take on step closer to Wembley.

The Trophy Player of the Round shortlist for the Round Three matches is as follows:

• Danny Lloyd (Salford City)
• Kevin Van Neen (Scunthorpe United)
• Padraig Amond (Newport County)
• Joe Bursik (Accrington Stanley)
• Craig Mackail-Smith (Stevenage)

The Trophy Player of the Round competition gives fans the opportunity to vote for the player they feel starred in each round of the competition.

An independent football expert selects five worthy players that make up the shortlist for each round, before supporters are given a chance to vote for their winner.

The player with the most votes will win Player of the Round award.

Every fan who votes for their favourite will be entered into a competition prize draw, where new car marketplace, will be offering one lucky supporter the chance to win signed merchandise.

Fans have until midnight on Tuesday, January 14th to register their votes for the award.
