April 29th will be the last day for Salford resident’s to apply to hold a street party or event for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022.

To celebrate The Queen reaching 70 years of service, the extended Bank Holiday, from Thursday 2 June to Sunday 5 June 2022 will provide everyone in Salford and the United Kingdom a chance to come together and celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.

Different types of events you can organise with your neighbours, familes and friends may include; planning a Jubilee walk or trail around a local park, organising a music concert or arranging street party with your neighbours.

On this special occasion, Salford City Council has removed the requirement to have public liability insurance for jubilee street parties. However if such street parties will feature bouncy castles, barbecues or other activities, you may wish to consider getting public liability for your event.

To hold a street party you will need to apply through Salford City Council by contacting the Highways team.
