Pitch academy held at Eccles library

‘Pitch academy’ targets prospective entrepreneurs and will take place at Eccles library later this month

Taking place at Eccles Library later this month, the event gives spaces for entrepreneurs to form new ideas and offers creative direction.

It’s being promoted with the tagline: “Be ready to change your mind, your direction, and your pitch and start growing your ideas.”

The event guest will be Hwyel Evans from Eccles-based housing trust ForLiving.

Event organiser, Phil Carey spoke more about what the event is offering prospective entrepreneurs, as well as touching on the plans for future events in the Greater Manchester area:

Phil touched on the importance of networking for new small business owners and entrepreneurs, saying: “The more people that are at the initial stage of their journeys that can speak to each other, gain information and make contacts – it’s invaluable. The contacts you make initially are sometimes could be some of the best ones you ever make!

“It’s part of our ‘BuildABusiness’ initiative that’s [been] running in most of the Greater Manchester libraries.”

Events similar to this one can be attended all across the county in the near future, with funding for the ‘BuildABusiness’ scheme lasting until next July as Phil explained: “Throughout Greater Manchester they’re always hosting these events.”

This event will take place between 12:00pm and 14:00pm on the evening of the 26th of October and the address for the library is 28 Barton Lane, M30 0TU.
