Salford City have revealed the new home kit for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Manufactured by Adidas, the new shirt is sponsored by property development and funding company Salboy.

They replace previous sponsors TalkTalk, agreeing to an initial one-year deal with the club.

Alongside the reveal, the club released a launch video, which included CEO Nicky Butt alongside Bez and Shaun Ryder of the Happy Mondays.

Salboy are a familiar name around Salford and Manchester, responsible for the re-development of the Castle Irwell site near the Peninsula Stadium amongst other projects in the North West.

Co-founders Simon Ismail and Fred Done both grew up in Salford, and Fred will be joining his brother Peter Done owner of the Peninsula Group in sponsoring their hometown club.

With Simon Ismail, Salford-born Co-Founder and Managing Director at Salboy, stating: “We are proud to put the
Salboy name on the front of the shirts worn by Salford City’s players and supporters next season.”

With Salford City one again aiming to secure promotion to League One, having a sponsor with matching ambitions will be significant to the developing season.

Simon continued to speak about the local pride of the City: “Supporting Salford City isn’t just about a love of football, but about getting behind a team of people who, like us, have huge pride in their local area but whose ambitions extend far beyond.”

Salford City CEO, Nicky Butt also has commented on the release on the new sponsorship, “It’s brilliant that Salboy has agreed to become our front of home shirt sponsor for the season, and we’re delighted to partner up with another local business with deep Salford connections.”

The CEO went onto add “Salboy has invested a lot of money into the local area, providing jobs and housing, and we’re hugely grateful to have their support for the new season.”

The shirt will be available and distributed through the Pro:Direct Clubhouse on Saturday 29 July, with it being available at the Peninsula Stadium for the pre-season friendly against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday 22 July.
