The Ammies will be looking to get back to back wins for the first time since April this year, against Walsall and Carlisle.

Salford had a difficult September, only winning one out of a possible seven with the form seeing the club fall to 20th.

The trip to London night will be hotly anticipated, with Sutton also having a horrid start to the campaign.

The U’s have only mustered four points from the opening 10 games.

The win came in an impressive 5-1 win against league leaders Notts County, which would’ve got fans excited for the upcoming season.

But since then Matt Gray’s side have fallen down the English fourth tier by only picking up one point since the opening day.

With confidence expected to be high amongst the squad, Neil Wood’s side should be considered for the tie.

And with the addition of bright spark Kelly N’Mai, it will certainly bolster their chances of victory against the London side.

Especially with the known confidence that the Ammies did the double over the U’s, winning 2-1 away and 2-0 at home.

Salford midfielder Matty Lund also spoke ahead of the fixture saying: ““I think its going to be a difficult game again.

“We had a tough game there last year and we manage to win. We know what it’s going to be like its going to be a battle again.”

A win at Gander Green Lane, will certainly help kick start the league season and giving the players confidence ahead of the weekend home fixture against Crewe Alexandra.
