Families across Salford are invited to get into the Halloween spirit as Salford Scarefest 2025 returns to The Rec, Camp Street, this weekend.

The free community event will take place on Saturday, 25 October, starting at 11 am, promising a day packed with activities.

Hosted by Salford Lifestyle Centre, Scarefest has become a much-loved annual celebration for residents, bringing families together for a fun-filled Halloween experience.

This year’s event will feature a range of attractions, including arts and crafts, children’s disco and numerous photo opportunities designed to capture the best Halloween costumes and moments.

One of the most anticipated parts of the day is the return of the scare maze, a thrilling experience suitable for all ages that has proven to be a highlight in previous years.

Organisers said: “Our event is a free Halloween event for the local community with free sweets, kids disco, arts and crafts and a scare maze. We have run this event for the past eight years, and it’s part of our regular schedule of events throughout the year, designed to bring free activities to residents whilst also introducing them to the various support groups based here at the centre throughout the week.”

The Salford Lifestyle Centre regularly hosts community-based events to encourage connection and creativity among residents. Their family fun days, craft workshops and seasonal events are designed to make Salford a more vibrant and inclusive place.

In addition to Scarefest, the centre will also host a special Pro Wrestling event the following day in its main hall. Organisers confirmed that tickets are priced at £6, with proceeds going directly towards supporting the centre’s community services.
