Karl Robinson maintained his positive attitude after Salford’s 2-0 loss to Bromley on Saturday.

The Ammies dropped to 12th in the league table in another disappointing loss, making it three games without a win in the league.

Salford dominated the game, having 65% possession and more shots, but couldn’t counter Bromley’s two first-half goals.

Robinson said: “Firstly, thank you to the travelling fans. I understand the frustrations because they just see a result.

“I have to come to you with a collective, the way the weeks built up, the way the effort they gave me, this is very clear with the way we want to perform.

“I felt we were the best team in the first half. All the numbers will show you that, except for the one, the most important one, that is the result.

“Our job is to get the opportunities to score, but we’ve got to take the chance when they come along.

“We’ve now had two games and not asked enough questions of the goalkeeper.”

Salford are now sat four points off the automatic promotion spots, but only one point off the play-off spots. Despite their poor form, they are still in the race for promotion spots.

Robinson continued: “We’re doing okay with everything that’s going on, and I’m going to stand here and back these lads because they work hard every single day.

“We’ve got so many changes behind the scenes that people don’t even see, and everyone’s trying, everyone’s working around the clock.

“We’re Salford City, we’re good in these moments and we’ll work hard in these moments. I said to the players in there, look at yourself first, work on yourself first, point fingers second and as a team, that’d be the best thing for us.

“With the players that we’ve had on show today, to a team that’s third in the league with evidence going against us, I have to back my team and I will do that.”

Salford host Crawley Town at the Peninsula on Saturday in hopes of getting back to winning ways, 3pm kick-off.
