More than 1000 people will descend on Salford next year for one of the region’s most popular card shows.
The CorpAcq Stadium in Eccles is set to host the Manchester Card Convention’s eighth edition for the first time in January 2026.
Ben Butterworth, event organiser of the Manchester Card Con, is proud of what he has built with this event and how much the card collectables space has grown over the last few years.
Ben said: “Manchester Card Con is a collectables event, with the popularity of trading cards such as Pokémon and sports cards. Manchester Card Con is a place to bring all those people together to meet like-minded people under the same roof.”
Ben wanted to move the event from Stockport to Eccles to meet rising demand, after successful shows over the past three years.
“What’s happened over the last 18 months is that Manchester Card Con has really grown. On the last three occasions we have been hosted by Edgely Park in Stockport, we have sold out,” Ben said. “The analytics and feedback showed we had to move to a bigger stadium.”
Ben, originally from Oldham, started the Manchester Card Con as a way to bring together card-collecting communities from around Greater Manchester.

He said: “I find that there’s always a story to tell with collectables, and I found that in cards as well. It’s really relatable and it doesn’t matter what your collection looks like.”
Ben wants the Manchester Card Con to be for the community and hopes the hobby of card collecting can grow with it.
“It doesn’t matter who you are, it doesn’t matter where you’re from, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been collecting cards for, you will be welcomed to the Manchester Card Con.”
Tickets are still available for the Manchester Card Con at the CorpAcq stadium on the 31st of January. More information is avilible here.
