Scottish stand-up comedian Connor Burns is set to bring his brand-new show Gallus to The Lowry Theatre in 2026.
Burns has enjoyed a meteoric rise following the runaway success of his previous show, 1994, which sold out its run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
He promises to bring a fiercely funny, no-nonsense hour from a performer renowned for his razor-sharp wit, jet-black cynicism and undeniable stage presence when he takes to the Salford stage on Sunday 8 February.
Away from his Edinburgh hometown, Burns sold out two nights at The King’s Theatre during the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and toured across the UK, Europe and Australia.
Burns is back from down under with his fourth show Gallus – traditional Scottish dialect for bold, daring and reckless. It’s a fitting name as he looks to showcase prolific, unfiltered, and bitingly observant comedy.
Armed with cutting one-liners, high-velocity punchlines, and bold insights into modern life, he delivers a show bursting with bravado, blistering honesty and a big heart.
Many may be familiar with Burns for his social media presence. He has gained 126,000 followers on Instagram, where he posts snippets of his sets.
But the Scot has established himself as a comedy powerhouse around the world by closing the Sydney Comedy Festival Gala at the iconic Opera House and performing an off-Broadway run as part of 2024’s New York Comedy Festival.
