All Saints Musical Productions will be performing ‘Godspell’ this November to celebrate their 80th anniversary.
The award-winning society has been the beating heart of amateur theatre in Eccles for many years, with hosting sessions for members who look to expand their performance and/or technical skills. Director Richard Shellard Ross has been guiding a cast of 11 people through the alluring production about the parables of Jesus.
Rebekah Davies, acting chair of the society for the last three years, said: “What we really wanted to do with this particular slot, is bring in some of our creative cast that we work with.”
“We’ve put on some really large-scale productions in our time, but actually, by working at the empty space on much smaller budgets that we have ever done in the past, it’s really about concepts and how can we take our audiences on this journey with just us.”
Godspell will take place at The Empty Space, an intimate black box venue based in Salford.
The venue also has immersive seating for those who want the most authentic first-hand experience of the performance.
“If you choose to sit in the immersive seating, you will be involved, and without giving too much away, you can be quite involved.” Rebekah added
Shows will be taking place from November 17-21 2026.
