From April 12, the public can begin to enjoy some freedoms again.

Sticking to the roadmap set out by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, pubs and restaurants have been allowed to open their doors to customers who sit outside.

Additionally, non-essential shops, gyms, and hairdressers have also been allowed to open with social distancing rules and PPE wearing required.

When speaking to the members of the public, one said “I don’t think the problem itself has been dealt with,” when asked if easing if restrictions have come too soon.

Another said, “I think, if it’s handled carefully, it could be a good thing but a lot of people just don’t listen to the rules or follow them anyway.”

It’s clear to see that many are apprehensive but with beer gardens in Salford Quays full of customers, the public is thankful for the relaxation of rules and to finally see friends.

Do you think it’s the right time to ease lockdown?
