Salford City will travel to Gloucestershire for the opening day of the 2023/24 League Two season to face Forest Green Rovers on 5 August.

This comes as the fixtures for the rapidly approaching League Two season, as well as League One and the Championship, were released to the public.

The Ammies find themselves with a tough start to the season with four of their first five games being played away from home.

On top of this, Salford’s second match of the season will see them travel to Deepdale to play Championship outfit Preston North End in the EFL Cup.

A good start to the season will be vital for another promotion charge, falling short the last two seasons.

Neil Wood’s men will be looking for the consistency that lacked in the previous campaign and aim for automatic promotion rather than the treacherous play-offs.

Some of the big games to look forward to include the newly promoted and recently infamous Wrexham, with their even more infamous Ryan Reynolds, visiting the Peninsula stadium 3 February 2024.

The Ammies will face fierce local rivals Stockport County away on the 28 December and at home the 12 March.

The full fixture list can be found on Salford City’s website.
