Totally Gruesome – North West, an indoor Halloween pop up event in Walkden, is extending its opening until Sunday November 5 due to popular demand.

The hour long attraction first opened on October 20 2023 and has a choice of two trails to follow. The first including; Coco – day of the dead, Clown Gaveyard, and Harry Potter, and the second featuring; Gru’s house, Batcave and Shark Attack.

‘Totally Gruesome’, located in Walkden Town Centre, has been transformed temporarily for the Halloween half term. Until June this year, the exhibition operated as a dinosaur style museum under the name, ‘Totally Jurassic’.

Event creators have described it as the “perfect indoor Halloween experience for primary school aged children”.

Originally set to close on Halloween, the extended times to experience the exhibition are 10am – 5pm on Saturday 4 and 10am – 3pm on Sunday November 5.

Each trail consists of eight rooms, with goers spending five minutes in each before moving on to the next. There is a series of clues to find and solve along the way and, once you’ve unscrambled the secret code, children will win a spooky prize.

There is also a witches potion corner after the mazes have been completed, where participants can take their own concoctions home.

Prices start from £9.95 pp, or £35 for a family of four.

More information can be found on the ‘Totally Gruesome’ Facebook Page, and tickets can be booked here.
