Building the Future

Free Salford Red Devils tickets for schools are part of a ‘Building the Future’  strategy which the rugby league club has brought back for the 2024 season.

The strategy will allow schools to apply for free tickets as part of an arranged school trip to attend their meeting with Wigan Warriors on Thursday March 14.

The club are working in partnership with Salford Red Devils Foundation in an attempt to develop the future generations of Salford Red Devils by focusing on increasing engagement and participation with Rugby League.

They hope to inspire young people across the region, on and off the field, with opportunities available for the best talents to maximise their potential on and off the field through the School Partnership Programme.

Paul Trainor, Director of Salford Red Devils said: “It is fantastic to welcome the students and staff from schools across Greater Manchester to watch Salford Red Devils at the Salford Community Stadium.

“Live rugby league games are an incredible spectacle with the power, pace and skill on show, combined with the atmosphere created by our fans – making it an unforgettable experience for the students.”

The club introduced the strategy in 2021, with more than 100 schools and 7,500 students attending a game at the Salford Community Stadium as a school trip.

Trainor added: “As a club, we have been delighted with how many schools have attended ‘Building the Future’ games over the past three seasons.

“Many of the young people who attend our ‘Building the Future’ games are attending their first live sporting experience.”

Schools that are interested in taking their students to see the Red Devils take on Wigan Warriors can apply here.
