Salford shoppers are set to experience temporarily changed opening times while the Pendleton Way Tesco undergoes improvements.
The Tesco Extra on Pendleton Way is making stores changes over seven weeks.
It will be open Monday to Thursday from 6am-10pm, Friday and Saturday from 6am until midnight and Sunday from 11am-5pm, until April 17.

A Tesco spokesperson added: “Our Salford Extra is currently undergoing a refresh to improve the shopping experience for customers.
“The store remains open, with slightly amended hours, while the works progress.
“The refurbishment works include; an improved look and feel of the store with new fruit and veg and bakery departments alongside a refreshed health and beauty department.
“Works will also improve the car park and petrol filling station alongside enhanced signage throughout the store.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused by these works.”
This week, work began to move the health and beauty departments, to make more room for baby aisles.
For more weekly updates, see their noticeboard on arrival.

When Tesco was on Salford Precinct across from the Post Office. It was closed and moved to this new larger Tesco Extra Shop and it was promised to the Salford Residents it would keep Tesco at the shopping centre, but would make it a larger store an Extra. But, this has been taken away from Salford Residents now and a few people around my estate are avoiding Tesco’s. They have half, not half the store, just made it less than half to food of Tesco. They have cut all products down, which is not enough to sell to the residents of Salford or the shelf is empty!
Is it because, Lidl has opened at Cromwell Road, well it’s not good for me when they don’t sell Gluten free products, but then Tesco have now half these products on the shelf at Salford.
It all for a Gym! When the old birth place of Tesco came from on Salford Precinct, there is already a Gym at price of £16 a month. Is Tesco’s, really going into competition with Pure Gym at £16 amth? Is Tesco’s going to make Salford Residents miserable taking there large extra shop away from them and getting them fit?
Or is it Pure Gym moving into Tesco’s, where you can buy a loaf of bread, that’s if there is enough in stock on the shelf? Maybe it’s an escape for Pure Gym, as a quiet exit us Salford Residents don’t know about yet!
They might be making plans in kicking down the old Salford Precinct down!
