Salford City are inviting season ticket holders to a second heritage consultation meeting on Wednesday evening, regarding their club crest.
The meeting follows on from a consultation from earlier in the season, which resulted in fans voting to change the club’s home colours to tangerine.
During the initial meeting, it was clear there was a need to separate supporters’ votes for the club’s primary colour and changing the crest.
The club have since spent more time on alternative crest options, listening to fans’ opinions and working with a leading global design agency to produce a design that represents the club and the city.
Having played in red since 2014, the decision to revert the club’s primary colours to tangerine came after David Beckham and Gary Neville bought out the rest of the ‘Class of 92’ in May, to lead the club under a new consortium.

A strong 77.7% majority of fans chose to revert to orange and the change will come into effect at the start of the 2026/27 season, with the Peninsula Stadium also set for improvements to its infrastructure.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, 26th November in the Buck’s Bar, with doors opening at 6pm before a presentation at 6.30pm.
The event is limited capacity so tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis and are available for season ticket holders to book online or via the ticket office.
Due to a database corruption issue, supporters may have received emails with a different name on. If this is the case, former and existing season ticket holders can still book tickets online here or via the ‘Events’ tab on the tickets website.
The club will provide an update following the discussion regarding its next steps.
