A pop-up art exhibition celebrating diversity and cultural heritage is coming to Salford this Saturday.
The exhibition, which has been organised by the Anadu Art Gallery, is called ‘Roots: Celebrating Heritage’ and aims to celebrate the cultural, traditional and personal roots of artists.
Dr Chieloka Emmanuel, the manager of Anadu Art Gallery, said: “The idea behind this exhibition is to give local artists the opportunity to participate in a group exhibition with international artists.
“We would love the visitors to get familiar with their local talent, follow their journey, and support them in any capacity.”

The exhibition will be held at the local Salford venue The Empty Space in Media City between 4pm and 7pm on Saturday 28 February.
Jo Fisher, CEO of The Empty Space, said: “We built this space as independents, and organically it has become super diverse.
“It is literally a space for everybody, and we’re delighted to host our very first art exhibition.”
The event is open to all age ranges and will offer complimentary food and drink alongside the entertainment.

Dr Chieloka added: “This event will bring together local and international artists, art lovers and curators.
“It features a diverse group of artists, celebrating their heritage and the beauty in diversity.”
While the exhibition is free to attend, visitors are encouraged to reserve their ticket online, the booking page for which can be found here.
A preview of the work that will be displayed can be found on the gallery’s Instagram page.
