Salford City have signed striker Macaulay Langstaff from Millwall for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old scored four goals and contributed with one assist across 38 appearances as he helped the Lions to a finish in the Championship play-offs last season.
He joined the London club in 2024 from Notts County after a stellar campaign in the fourth tier, which saw him score 28 goals and provide six assists on the way to winning the golden boot.
The forward scored 42 in 45 National League appearances the season before to help the Magpies to promotion.
Speaking to the Club after signing his deal, he said: “It’s what we’re all in football for to be successful, win promotions. A couple of the best days of my life have been promotions and I want another one. I’ve been at this level before, and I’ve got more experience now with some top players so hopefully I can share that with the lads.
“I’ve come here with a lot of ambition, I really want to be successful with Salford City and I want to win promotion so I’m really excited to get started and hopefully we can achieve that this season.
“When you get on the phone to people who have been really successful in this industry and others, you realise how ambitious they are and it is motivating.
“Those phone calls with the owners attracted me to the football club, then you speak to the people around the club – the likes of the manager, the playing staff – they speak about how good of a club it is, how well ran it is, so it was a no-brainer in the end.
“I can’t wait to meet the fans, start playing games, so my message to them is turn up in your numbers, keep on singing loud, and I’ll try and repay that support on the pitch.”
